This case study discusses an investigation to develop and validate a survey designed to obtain information on practitioner self-reported knowledge, use, and perceived effectiveness of recommended classroom-based practices for the inclusive instruction of students receiving special education services for Emotional Disturbance. First, students will learn about issues related to inclusive instruction for this student population and previous research in this area. Next, students will explore the multistep process that was used to develop and validate the survey. Limitations of the survey will be discussed, as well as potential research methods to address them |
