Summary Little Sherina must leave her good friends behind in Jakarta when her father takes a better job on a plantation in the countryside. At her new school, Sherina confronts a bully who makes fun of her on her first day and whom she puts down. To Sherina's surprise, the bully turns out to be the plantation owner's son, Sadam. Meanwhile a businesswoman wants to buy the plantation, saying she has heard the Ardiwilagas are having financial problems. She wants to save their property from a planned development, she says, and fulfill her dream of owning a plantation. Although the film is a musical with lots of songs, it turns dramatic when the two children reluctantly go on a hike together and have to survive a sinister plot that not only threatens them but the plantation as well.
