Summary Join Pria Viswalingam in this new six-part series as he considers whether we are now completely bogged down in a mire of meaningless self-indulgence, and whether we do really need iPods, plasma screen TVs, Brazilian waxes and self-navigating 4WDs to achieve happiness. In part two Pria reflects on how sex-saturated our modern culture is, with hard core pornography available on-line 24/7 and 70% of the net having pornographic content. He interviews NSW Police Commissioner Ken Moroney about how gruesome the cases of rape and sexual assault in NSW have become, while Clive Hamilton laments the obvious link between porn and the commission of sex crimes. Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, author of Kosher Sex, says that modern relationships collapse when couples lose interest in sex because he believes that sex has become the sole measure of a relationship and that people have lost sight of what sex should be. Medical ethicist Dr. Amin Abboud notes that because, over the last 25 years, sex has become purely mechanistic, it needs to be put back into a context of emotional and physical intimacy and personal development in order to rediscover sex as part of love.
