Summary When Aliaa Elmahdy wanted to protest about the repression of women in Egypt, she published a naked photo of herself, prompting a storm of Islamic outrage; The number of false allegations of blasphemy in Pakistan is rising, leaving lives ruined and families ostracised by their communities and: Mali's manuscripts survived for centuries until rebels threatened their destruction... Dateline follows the race against time to save them.THE NAKED REVOLUTIONARYWhen Aliaa Elmahdy wanted to protest about the repression of women in Egypt, she did it in the most provocative way possible... by posting a photo of herself naked on the internet. It prompted a storm of outrage in the Islamic world, including death threats, but also mobilised feminists worldwide in support of her. They want to see Egypt's political revolution followed by a social revolution, with many saying that women's rights have actually taken a step backwards under Mohamed Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. On Tuesday's Dateline, Aliaa speaks candidly about her rebellious campaign, which has ultimately forced her to leave Egypt and apply for asylum in Sweden. But being abroad hasn't silenced her, as she protests naked in front of Stockholm's Egyptian Embassy with only a fake copy of the Koran to cover her modesty.IN GOD'S NAMEIn Pakistan, speaking out against the Koran or prophet is punishable by death or life imprisonment. But Evan Williams has found that many people accused of the crime of blasphemy are innocent and it's being increasingly used as a way for extremists to increase their power. Even for those who are ultimately acquitted, Evan hears of ruined lives and being ostracised by their communities. Human rights workers say the number of cases is rising every year, and some accusers are now taking the law violently into their own hands supported by unforgiving rhetoric from religious clerics. So what can be done to stop this modern day witch hunt?OPERATION TIMBUKTUMali in west Africa has a rich written history... a story of religion and discovery told across tens of thousands of manuscripts dating from the 13th century. Despite their fragility, they survived for centuries... until last year's uprising by Islamist rebels threatened their future. On Tuesday, Amos Roberts returns to Timbuktu to see what happened to the priceless manuscripts he first filmed for Dateline in 2008. He hears of the race against time to save them and hide them away from almost certain destruction, but did it succeed in preserving the stories of the past for future generations?
