Summary |
A night rich in sound experiences was just what was needed to launch the Qwest TV adventure! In Paris, the historic land of gypsy jazz, of the exile of American jazzmen and of African migration, mixtures were quickly normalized in jazz. This night is proof, where the gypsy guitar and North and West African traditions are combined with jazz's freest improvisations. You will understand why the expression "Jazz and Beyond" was an obvious choice to describe Qwest TV. A major figure in Malian music in Paris, Cheick Tidiane Seck is a master of groove, an energized reveler who dopes his audience with kola nuts so that they won't stop dancing until he resigns himself to leaving the stage! This particular stage is in the La Villette complex in Paris, in the exceptional setting of La Petite Halle. He is a promoter of young talents: Sandra Nkaké and Fatoumata Diawara benefitted from it! This is his flair. At La Petite Halle, he is a regular who invites his many incredible musician friends to join him for extraordinary evenings. Florent Servia |
