AASWs Code of Ethics (2010) sets the standard for ethical practice for social workers in Australia and is under pinned by the By-Laws on Ethics (2000). The procedures for dealing with the ethical practice of social workers are described in detail in the By-Laws. Social Workers, their clients and colleagues are encouraged to consult with the Branch Ethics Committee (BEC) in their region if they have a query about the ethical practice of a social worker
