Summary
Case study of the cultural landscapes of the Central Victorian Goldfields describes the themes and components which have shaped some of the cultural landscapes in the Central Victorian Goldfields. Case studies are presented on two towns, Creswick and Maldon, to test the range of pressures on the cultural landscapes and the local responses to those pressures. A list of indicators is proposed to measure the state of and impacts on cultural landscape systems
