Summary |
"This documentary asks what is the meaning of memory, oblivion, justice and truth in a Cambodia which for more than twenty years has lived with unspoken realities, with a collective repression of memory? The film raises these questions by approaching the survivors and the perpetrators of the genocide carried out by Pol Pot's regime from 1975 to 1979. Autopsy Of A Trial looks at how the trials of some of the Khmer Rouge leaders has provided the opportunity to reactivate memories and words, and to confront the culture of violence inherited by Cambodia with the need to face up to its history.
