Summary |
"The Courland Spit, a narrow band of sand dunes in the Baltic Sea, has been known since the end of the last century for its large concentration of migrating birds, unique in Europe. Millions of birds, from tiny passerines to ducks and swans, gather here every year to migrate south for the winter. Scientists from the Rybachy Ornithological Station, founded in 1901, monitor the bird population all year round. Their principal aim is to study various aspects of the avian annual cycle, primarily migration. This documentary presents a poetic version of the scientists' work from the point of view of a tiny bird. (From France, in French, English subtitles and narration)" -- website |
