First edition fo the enlarged "Hobart Town Almanac" with 17 pages of interesting advertisements at end. In his preface, the author states of Tasmania that "it is the worse place in the world ... for the idler, the spendthrift, or the lounger; whilst, on the other hand, it decidedly presents ample encouragement to the man of sober and industrious habits" |
