Summary This week, Poh packs her rucksack and pulls on her walking boots to lend a hand to Operation Flinders, a wilderness therapy program that helps transform the lives of young people at risk. For seven days she'll be roughing it in the remote South Australian outback, cut off from the outside world, cooking on a camp fire for 11 troubled teenage girls and possibly her toughest critics ever. This is no girl-guide camp, these kids normally do what they want, when they want, but in this extreme environment they'll be out of their comfort zone, with strict rules and objectives and no opportunity to opt out - and that includes Poh too! They'll live outdoors, sleep under the stars and walk over a 100 kilometres through some of the toughest and most spectacular country in Australia, the Northern Flinders Ranges. As camp cook on team 'Tango nine', Poh's mission is critical. She'll have to cater to the girls' food tastes and give them the energy they'll need to get through each day. This is no easy task given the limited provisions and the backgrounds of her clients. With issues ranging from alcohol and drug abuse, to crime and low self-esteem, these girls usually get by on fast food and high energy drinks, so Poh will need to draw on all her creative skills to pull this off.
