Summary |
"In the Millennium House project, students participated in a dynamic debate about ideas and also proposed a project for a real site and a real client, one with high ambitions for an artistic living environment. While technical and programmatic issues were addressed, the emphasis was on the meaning of architecture at a particular moment, our moment. This project is not a meditation on the past or the future but an attempt to define what is unique about the present. These circumstances notwithstanding, students were constantly reminded that they were designing for a specific client and a specific site." p. 7 |
