Summary "Two years after his last visit, Kevin McCloud revisits a family in Doncaster (UK) to see how their ultra-modern and somewhat unusual house finished up. The property was designed by maverick architect Colin Harwood for his sister Lindsey and her husband Michael. Michael and Lindsey struggled to get planning permission for the build because of its unconventional look. But when permission was finally granted the build still didn’t progress smoothly. There was one drama after another and constant disagreements between Colin and the builder. Michael and Lindsey were pretty unconcerned by the slow progress of the project and were thrilled when at last some of the glass used extensively in the build arrived from Austria. When Kevin last saw the property it was nothing more than a concrete shell. Now it’s an impressive modernist building and an elegant comfortable family home." -- website
