Following an Emerald special issue in 1998 entitled 'Operations Management in Latin America' (Volume 18, Issue 3), this e-book aims to further integrate Latin America into the operations management international community. The six papers are representative of the research currently conducted in the region: the first three deal conceptually and empirically with operations strategy, whilst the remainder deal empirically and normatively with supply chain management issues in Latin America
