Summary |
Six British celebrities trace their family trees to discover the lives of their ancestors as Who Do You Think You Are? continues on SBS ONE.Actress Kim Cattrall, known to most for her bed-hopping antics as Samantha Jones in Sex and the City, is determined to solve a family mystery that has endured for more than 70 years.Although she will forever be associated with Manhattan, she was in fact born in Britain in Liverpool and raised in Canada. Kim wants to find out what happened to her grandfather George Baugh who walked out on his wife and three young daughters, including Kim's mother Shane when she was only eight years old, disappearing without a trace.Her investigation begins in Liverpool with her mother and aunties who don't even know what their father looked like other than an old picture they have. Kim manages to piece together a few clues that lead to a shocking and painful discovery about George including the fact that he emigrated to Australian as a 'ten pound pom'.The actress said she found the research more difficult and emotional than expected.
