Summary "This book describes the findings of a long-term, comprehensive longitudinal study conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Psychological Research in Munich from 1984 to 1993. The major goal of the study was to analyze developmental changes in the cognitive, social, and personality domain and to explore possible interrelationships in developmental changes across domains. A sample of about 200 children was first tested in 1984 when they were almost 4 years old and first entering German kindergarten. Children's cognitive, social, and personality development was followed up on a regular basis (2-3 times a year) for about 9 years (until 1993). The study is unique in that developmental changes in several important domains were assessed simultaneously over a period of almost 10 years."--BOOK JACKET
