Summary |
This dataset is designed for teaching basic approaches for including age as a continuous or categorical variable when analysing survey data. The dataset focuses on age as a continuous or categorical predictor in an Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, showing how to categorise a continuous variable for analysis and exploring non-linear relationships between predictor and outcome variables. The dataset is a subset of data derived from the European Social Survey 2016 (ESS 2016), and the example examines ways of exploring the relationship between age and UK respondent opinion about the current state of health services in the United Kingdom. The dataset file is accompanied by a Teaching Guide, a Student Guide, and a How-to Guide for SPSS |
