Summary |
This program takes viewers back to the authentic Old West during the gold rush days! The Everett Horse Ranch is 9,000 feet high, tucked among three mountain ranges near Salida, Colorado, and the Everett family host tourists who want to learn to become real cowhands. Visitors participate in the daily operations of the ranch, but first they need the proper clothing: a good hat, gloves, chaps, a warm sweater or jacket, a rain slicker, and cowboy boots, of course. Then they are ready to tag and rope calves, do their assigned chores, and take part in the daily round-up. A highlight of the ranch experience is a visit to a gold-mining ghost town |
