Summary |
Satché, who has returned to his birthplace in Senegal after 15 years in the United States, awakes to his final day on earth during which he intensively perceives his environment for one last time as he attends a farewell ceremony with his family, progresses down the street where neighbors give him presents, reunites with old friends and his former mistress, visits the elder who will lay out his body, then goes home to his wife and young children |
