Georges Delerue was one of the greatest film composers and was the author of more than 200 film scores. He composed for the cinema's new wave, as well as for popular cinema, television and radio. An Academy Award winner for Best Original Score for A Little Romance (1979), he worked on a number of Hollywood films, including for Oliver Stone's Platoon and Salvador.
