Summary 1. Morocco has made major progress in recent years to increase economic growth and strengthen the economy's resilience to shocks, although important challenges remain. The gains reflect sound macroeconomic policies, sustained structural reforms, and taking advantage of opportunities provided by globalization. The result has been a gradual improvement in living standards and per capita income. At the same time, overall economic growth is still vulnerable to agricultural volatility, and despite the improvements in social indicators, unemployment-notably among the youth-remains a challenge
