The brightly coloured print depicts a young man carrying on his head a basket full of fruit (lemons or oranges) With one hand he supports the basket and in his other hand holds a single fruit. He is in an orchard surrounded by other trees and pickers. Originally painted by an artist called Kirby and included in Teachers World Supplement, an educational magazine published in the early to mid-20th century.
