Humankind is inexorably heating up the planet. In nature, particles spewed from volcanoes cool the planet by shading incoming solar radiation. The cooling effect can last for months to years. Should we use technology to mimic this effect, and artificially cool the planet? Or does the solution lie elsewhere?
