Summary |
Through the work of Julie Vivas, Roland Harvey and Jeannie Baker, this video reveals how illustrators add to the written word and how their ideas can be translated into pictures that in themselves tell a story. We join Julie Vivas as she watches possums at the zoo and we see children listening to Possum Magic. Roland Harvey, illustrator of over 35 books, maps, wall charts and friezes, answers questions from children who visit his studio. And Jeannie Baker prepares material for collage and we explore the rainforest wilderness that inspired her award-winning book and animated film Where the Forest Meets the Sea |
