Summary This program sets out to give pupils an insight into where and how electronics have an impact on today's modern society. By seeing modern 'real-life' situations, pupils gain an understanding of the problems real designers have to face and the technology and materials that are available for them to solve these problems. This video contains two case studies which focus on industrial applications in two very different contexts - stock control in a manufacturing company in Birmingham and a 'head-up' display developed by BAE used in the training of pilots of civilian aircraft
