Summary Narrated by Alan Brough (Specks & Specks), Wild Life At The Zoo is a fly-on-the-wall look into the workings of one of the world's most renowned zoos, Taronga - home to 340 species and 3,400 animals across 52 acres of prime real estate on the shores of Sydney Harbour.Over eight episodes viewers will be treated to a range of dramatic and heartfelt events revealing the intimate bond that exists between the animals and their keepers. Between high risk medical procedures, moving chimps to their new multimillion dollar sanctuary or helping with the birth of Sumatran cubs, this series shouldn't be missed. Tonight is part two of the long awaited move of the entire chimp community at Taronga zoo. They will move into their new multi-million dollar sanctuary providing them with more room to roam. As one of the chimps lies gravely ill, the move to the new sanctuary suffers a set- back. Now with a risk of infection keepers adjust their plans as they continue the move. Lulu, the oldest chimp in the troupe, is moved in a special crate then the juveniles and the upcoming males arrive last. When the chimps are reunited a fight breaks out amongst the troupe in their new night house as they battle for supremacy. The day arrives when they take their first steps into their new world. It's a special moment as keepers reflect on the years of planning.PRODUCTION DETAILS:Imaginative TV
