Summary |
The following dataset discusses what demographic data are and how to analyze and visually display such data in qualitative research. The data are provided by Dr. Amy L. Redman, an online Master of Public Health instructor for the University of Vermont's Larner College of Medicine and an adjunct professor for the Sociology and Anthropology Department at St. Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. The following dataset is from a study currently being conducted, which uses 16 semi-structured, in-depth qualitative interviews with female military members, and spouses, about their food and meal planning practices (i.e., where they food shop, how often, how much they spend, how they meal plan). Specifically, this dataset introduces students to what demographic data are and how to gather, analyze, and visually display interviewee demographic data. The dataset files are accompanied by a Teaching Guide and a Student Guide |
