The Australasian Quaternary Association (AQUA) brings together researchers studying various aspects of the Quaternary period (about the last 2 million years) in the Australasian region. It seeks to encourage research by younger workers in particular, to promote scientific communication between Australia and New Zealand, and to inform members of current research and publications. It holds biennial meetings and publishes the journal Quaternary Australasia twice a year
