| Summary |
After her brutal encounter with Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton), Catherine (Sarah Lancashire) is left unconscious in the street and Ann (Charlie Murphy), fearing Tommy will return, locks herself in Catherine's car. The police arrive but Tommy manages to get away. He gets on to Lewis (Adam Long) who agrees to hide with him.While Crabtree (Alan McKenna) questions Kevin (Steve Pemberton) he gets the call that Ann has been found and proceeds to arrest a shocked Kevin for abduction.Catherine's in a critical condition and the doctors fight to stop her internal bleeding. Ashley (Joe Armstrong) is arrested and brought in for questioning. When she eventually comes around, Catherine is devastated to learn that Tommy got away.Jenny (Julia Ford) visits Kevin in prison, telling him how hard it has all been on her and the girls. Kevin is desperate for Jenny to understand why he did what he did, but it all becomes too much for her.Meanwhile Ashley cuts a deal with the police and walks free from court, but his wife is furious when she learns it means they will be joining the witness protection program. While still hiding out, the tension between Tommy and Lewis continues to grow and Brett (Adam Nagaitis) comes home to find things between them have got way out of control.
