Summary |
The rainforests - beautiful, mysterious and enigmatic - are time capsules from long ago that carry the genetic inheritance of millions of years of evolution. They are home to half the living species on Earth, yet so much of the rainforests' elaborate web of life is waiting to be discovered. In this documentary we discover the fascinating rainforest right on our doorstep, in Australia, one of the driest climates on earth. It's on the East coast high up the slopes of the extinct Mt. Warning volcano. This giant old volcano boasts the largest erosion caldera in the southern hemisphere and can actually be seen from space. |
