Summary |
The accelerated growth of scientific research makes necessary for researchers to find an efficient alternative to identify new research questions that contribute to scientific progress in an area of academic performance. Literature reviews are a useful method for summarizing large volumes of research to establish what has been studied and to identify gaps that guide future research. The present case aims to illustrate the process for the development of a systematic review of the literature by a research group interested in defining the guidelines for a new line of research on academic performance in Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs. The case shows the different stages of the process, as well as the decisions the researchers must make in the different moments of the study. Conclusions, practical lesson learned, and suggestions for other research are discussed |
