Rebecca is not afraid of becoming seriously disabled because she is already on dialysis and already considers herself so. She is not afraid of dying or of being diagnosed with another medical condition. When questioned about other somatic symptoms in the past, Rebecca responds that the symptoms she has experienced have all been related to her current and long-term illness
