Summary |
Debbie Gaydos, the owner of Shopaholic Home Décor and Gifts, a small gift shop in Enterprise, Alabama, loved her moose stuffed animals. For six years, she featured moose during the Christmas season. Debbie incorporated anthropomorphism, priming, and cue to build sales. Debbie believed that every product should have a story, and her customers agreed. Debbie made the moose real to her customers by developing stories around the moose from the moment the product arrived. In 2014 she ordered 50 moose, and in early 2020, she placed an order for 950 moose. Debbie's concerns going into 2020 were twofold. How could she continue building on the anthropomorphism promotion approach to maintain and expand sales of the moose? In 2018, she made public how she donated moose to local children in need. Her second concern was how could she develop opportunities that provided moose to more children in need |
