Part 1 is aimed at 5 to 6 year olds, and Part 2 at 6 to 7 year olds, providing some continuity and progression. In The Number Crew, the action takes place on board the SS Mathematical, where the human crew look after a collection of animal passengers. In each program the crew encounters a mathematical problem.
