Summary |
Ben ventures deep into the jungles of Guatemala, once home to an ancient Mayan civilisation but also the 'new life' of Mike Merrill, a former sound engineer from Texas who is building a backpackers hostel in this land of rivers, waterfalls and active volcanoes. Reality of life in the jungle hits hard, Ben gets stuck into building projects, machete fishing and tubing a dangerous river to transport vital supplies. Mike lives alongside a remote culture with its own rules and Ben sees the effect the local people have had on his host and he's had on them |
