| Summary |
In the final days of the Vietnam War, a young widow struggles to care for her young son and ailing father-in-law, while hiding from them the fact that her husband was killed in the war. She is befriended by the village schoolmaster, who agrees to fabricate letters from her dead husband in order to spare her family sorrow.
