| Summary |
South Africa plays host to Long Way Round star Charley Boorman in his latest adventure as he travels 6,000 miles through the country's beautiful landscape on his trusty BMW GS Adventure motorcycle. The seasoned adventurer and motorcycle enthusiast confronts extreme nature conditions and his fears, while getting to know the locals and witnessing some true wonders of the world.The journey continues just south of Durban, as Charley bonds with the locals by getting into the surf before one of his most challenging adventures at the Sani Pass. Leading up through the mountains towards Lesotho, Charley tackles the treacherously steep and extremely icy path to the summit. Once they recover from their Sani Pass adventure, Charley and the team continue their journey learning about the historic battle at Rorke's Drift. The episode ends close to the clouds as the team embark on the challenging trek to the top of Tugela Falls, braving the icy cold winds as they camp on the summit.
