Summary Over the course of the last decade, it has been hard to ignore the repeated rallying cries for methodological innovation in the social sciences. This book puts the spotlight on methods and approaches which have become increasingly popular in recent years amongst youth researchers. It showcases a wide range of imaginative and creative methods, including music elicitation, mental mapping, blog analysis, visual methods, arts-based methods and mobile methods. With contributors drawn from diverse disciplinary and methodological backgrounds, the collection highlights the ongoing importance of perennial concerns relating to research ethics and methodological reflexivity, and draws attention to the pervasive influence of participatory and mixed methods approaches within much contemporary youth research
