| Summary |
The work examines the identity politics of the EU on the basis of selected fields of European cultural politics. Because in the field of tension between national and supranational identity offers, a future-oriented staging of European identity emerges that is less opposed to the classic counter-identities #on ("i") # Russia # off ("i") # and #on ("i") # Turkey # off ("i") # delimits, but against its own warlike-nationalistic past. The material-rich empirical study systematically draws on data of all kinds, from EU legal acts to the daily press, in order to record the course of discourse beyond the established categories |
