Summary
How do dominant political linguistic and thought patterns arise and how are they related to the social balance of power? This volume aims to get to the bottom of these questions about the functioning of discursive hegemony by linking political and discourse science. Based on the investigation of the hegemonic project "Social Market Economy", the political-discursive characteristics and strategies of successful hegemony will be reconstructed. In addition, the exemplary analysis of the West German economic policy discourse of the post-war years illustrates how political science can benefit from discourse research
