Summary |
"This book presents a collection of state-of-the-art research on GPU computing and its applications in medical physics problems in radiation therapy. After an overall introduction to GPU technology and its current applications in radiotherapy in Chapter 1, each of Chapters 2 through 20 was selected to present a specific application of GPU in a key radiotherapy problem. These chapters summarize the advancements achieved so far as well as present technical details and insightful discussions regarding the utilization of GPU in these problems. In addition, two chapters toward teh end of the book present two real systems developed with GPU as a core component to achieve important clinical tasks in modern radiotherapy."--Preface, page xi |
