Summary |
"The idea for this volume grew out of discussions about how to analyze limits of moral obligation in general. The debates on (over-)demandingness, on the one hand, and on the principle 'ought implies can,' on the other hand, usually appear separated and their respective issues do not seem to be related. However, we raised the question of how both issues had to be analyzed if they were to be thought of as being more closely relate to each other than usually expected. Consquently, this volume is intended to address this theoretical option against the background of state of the art contributions to both issues"-- Preface |
